Work is underway on a smart city project in the Kalyan railway station area and trains are parked here despite putting up a ‘No Parking’ board. What is special is that it involves a large number of police vehicles. Police of Kalyan city traffic branch took action against this. The Kalyan Traffic Police, under the guidance of Senior Inspector of Police Sukhdev Patil, took action against more than 100 vehicles in the ‘no parking’ area.
The development project under Smart City is underway in the Kalyan station area and as a result, there is a huge traffic jam here. In addition, rickshaw pullers and two-wheelers parked indiscriminately in the no-parking area add to the traffic congestion. Sukhdev Patil informed that most of the vehicles parked in the no-parking area belonged to the police and lawyers.
There were frequent complaints about vehicles parked in ‘no parking’. Action was taken against these vehicles under the guidance of Sukhdev Patil, Senior Inspector of Traffic. More than 100 police vehicles were fined through e-challans. The traffic police has also appealed not to park the vehicles here again.
